Mark Mortell

Mark provides strategic counsel, advising on executive positioning, corporate reputation, as well as crisis, internal and change communications. He has advised leaders in managing board interactions, handling interviews, business acquisitions, facing Parliamentary Committees and enquiries and dealing with the media. He advocates proactive relationship management and effective listening in managing business challenges and key stakeholders.

Mark is an experienced facilitator and a leading media trainer coaching business leaders, broadcasters and politicians, he has worked for a wide range of industry sectors and in markets across Europe, the Middle and Far East as well as in the USA. He has advised senior politicians and executives in major organisations and government.

Mark was a member of the global management team of international PR & Communications agency Fleishman Hillard holding key roles including Chief Client Officer and Global Head of Practices & Sectors. Mark joined FH Dublin in 2002 leading the Corporate & Public Affairs Practice before moving to the international team in 2011 leading one of the agency’s largest global accounts Royal Philips.

He joined FH from Aer Lingus where he was Commercial Director and previously held senior management and marketing positions with Bank of Ireland Group, Ballygowan Spring Water Co., Mars and Guinness Ireland. He was Chairman of Bord Failte and the OTMI (Overseas Tourism Marketing Initiative), Managing Director of Dimension Advertising & Marketing. He has also been a long-standing adviser and strategist to political leaders including four Taoisigh.

He has experience in financial services, aviation and tourism, food and drink as well as in health, media, technology and inward investment. He is an established political and election strategist working with politicians in both government and opposition and has been a marketing and public affairs commentator and business broadcaster.
